Happy Friday wonderful people of the blogosphere!

I have some really good news…I’m painting backdrops for my food photography. What food photography, you ask? (I know…there has been some serious radio silence from this side of things.) I’m finally getting back into the whole photography mindset.

I even have a few recipes I’m really excited about…ones pretty much the whole family can wrap their heads around…except my family will soon be leaving me for three weeks – they get to go play in Mexico (or shrivel away under the blistering heat;p) for 3 weeks while I stay here getting us set up with things like jobs, cars, and daycare.

Anyway, I was definitely digging the fine assortment of summer fruit – especially the berries, which were popping up at me almost whenever I’d click on something. Everything looks so bold and vibrant. Take a look at these summery dishes from last week and bask in the warmth of summer!

Make sure you follow your hosts! We try to keep the fun going all week long and do a lot of promotion, especially on Pinterest! Make sure you let us know if you follow so we can return the favor!

And finally, before I leave you with the link up, please take a quick peak at some of the (not so many) rules we have that help keep things running smoothly week after week:
1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. You may use round ups but please make sure they include links to recipes or tutorials. We would appreciate you linking up different posts week to week …we reserve the right to delete duplicates.
2. We think you are all awesome and love meeting new bloggers (and more awesome people) each week. We´d love if you spread the word about the party in some way, shape, or form!
3. We´re not a pushy group…no real requirements (except that you be a recipe or DIY blogger), but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFridaysDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.
4. If you’d like to include our button on your sidebar or your link party page, or even a link back on the individual post you linked up, we’d love it, but again, there is no requirement to do so.
5. We have a community on Facebook and we like to share! Let us know if you want to join in on the fun!
Happy pinning!
